Meet our Scholarship Award Recipients!

At Saskatoon Co-op, community is at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to make a difference in the communities we serve. In celebration of our 90th anniversary, we launched the Saskatoon Co-op Scholarship Program. This program recognizes and supports Grade 12 students in our communities who give back by volunteering, leading, and caring for others.

Team Member Scholarship Recipients

Saskatoon Co-op has designated two $2,000 scholarships for team members, and this year's recipients truly exemplify our Co-op's values.

We are proud to be an employer of young people, with more than 110 team members under 18 years old. Working for our Co-op helps these young people build the confidence and skills to succeed wherever life takes them.

Teysen Baschuk
Martensville High School

"Getting to know people and building strong relationships is what I value when volunteering. Signing up to help someone less fortunate or someone who doesn't have the same opportunities as some of us have is the most rewarding feeling."

Newri Castro

"My desire to volunteer stems from the individuals who have dedicated their time to help me develop into who I am today. My sense of self was shaped by a variety of secure environments in the past."
