At Saskatoon Co-op, community is at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to make a difference in the communities we serve. And now, in celebration of our 90th anniversary, we are proud to launch a new scholarship award that aims to recognize and support students who give back to their communities by volunteering, leading, and caring for others.

The Saskatoon Co-op Scholarship Program recognizes community members and team members, awarding them one of eight $2,000 scholarships to support their academic journeys.

Available Scholarships

We are awarding eight (8) $2,000 scholarships in total for the 2026 academic year:

  • Six (6) Community Scholarships: Dedicated to Grade 12 students who demonstrate exceptional community impact in the communities we serve and the surrounding areas.
  • Two (2) Team Member Scholarships: Dedicated to Grade 12 students who are Saskatoon Co-op team members, or the children or grandchildren of Saskatoon Co-op team members.

Eligibility & Criteria

We are looking for well-rounded students who exemplify co-operative values. Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee and ranked across four key categories:
  • Community Volunteerism
  • Scholastic & Extracurricular Activities
  • Academic Performance
  • School & Community Endorsements
General Application Requirements:
  • Applicants must be current Grade 12 students graduating in Summer 2026.
  • Applicants must plan to attend a post-secondary institution in the Fall of 2026.
  • Applicants must be active Saskatoon Co-op members.

  • Applicants must reside in Colonsay, Dalmeny, Hepburn, Martensville, Rosthern, Saskatoon, Vonda, Waldheim, Warman, Watrous, or the surrounding area.
  • Note: Members of the Saskatoon Co-op Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team, as well as their children and grandchildren, are ineligible to apply.

Application Checklist

To complete your application, please ensure you have the following ready:

  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: One endorsement from a school administrator and one endorsement from a volunteer organization or community group.
  • Official High School Transcript: Your most recent high school academic record.
  • Summary of Activities: Our application form will ask for a breakdown of your volunteer work and extracurricular activities.
  • Statement of Accuracy: A signed confirmation of your application details. This is available at the form link below.
  • Graduation Photo: This is optional at the time of application, but is required before payment of the award.
