Supporting our Communities
Throughout December & January, Saskatoon Co-op was proud to donate to these amazing community organizations across our trading area, to the tune of over $20,000. Thank you all for the services you provide.
Open Door Society – Welcomes newcomers to Canada and helps them settle in Saskatoon. They help newcomers connect, integrate, and build strong reciprocal relationships with the local community, including Indigenous communities.
Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre – Committed to ensuring a food secure community where in all people have access to safe, affordable and nutritious food.
OUTSaskatoon – Uplifts 2SLGBTQ people by leading, serving, and supporting in a dynamic community.
Colonsay Food Bank – A small, non-registered, non-profit organization. They serve Colonsay & area, Elstow, Viscount and Meacham.
Viscount Central School – Viscount Central School was coordinating food hampers for the community; Saskatoon Co-op supported that through gift cards.
Glenside Community Association – Saskatoon Co-op donated new lighting to the community rink so all community members could enjoy it.
Free Forest Grove – Are focused on ensuring all residents of Forest Grove, and ultimately Saskatoon have access to enough food.
Hepburn Museum of Wheat – This museum is located in a refurbished 1928 Pool Elevator in Hepburn. The museum preserves some of the rich agricultural heritage of the region and offers educational opportunities to the surrounding communities.
Ronald McDonald House – Give all Saskatchewan families the support they need to be with their sick children. They provide programs for families with sick children that positively impact the health and wellbeing of the entire family.
Watrous & District Fire Department – Has 15-20 volunteer members that proudly serve the town of Watrous, Village of Manitou Beach and surrounding Rural Municipalities.
Friendship Inn – Through community partnerships and authentic relationships, they are able to foster a compassionate sense of belonging for neighbours in need by serving daily nutritious meals, offering friendship, and providing referrals and programing that meet people where they are.
Haven Kids’ House (formerly Saskatoon Crisis Nursery) - Gives a loving temporary home for children and gives families the support tools they need to succeed, giving kids a better chance and strengthening our community.
Hanna’s Haven Animal Rescue – Non-profit, non-kill dog rescue that has helped over 600 animals in finding their FURever homes.
