Saskatoon Co-op is Imagine Canada PRISM Certified
Saskatoon Co-op is Imagine Canada PRISM Certified
We are proud to share that Saskatoon Co-op has been re-accredited as a PRISM Certified company by Imagine Canada. The certification is a nationally recognized benchmark awarded to companies that contribute at least 1% of pre-tax profits to the community and are committed to advancing best practices in community engagement. The contributions that make up the 1% can include donations, in-kind support, and management costs associated with social impact programs.
This achievement reflects Saskatoon Co-op's dedication to its values of excellence, integrity, and community in everything we do. We're guided by the seventh Co-operative Principle of “Concern for Community” and take pride in supporting the members and communities that make our Co-op strong, including the 10 communities we proudly serve: Saskatoon, Colonsay, Dalmeny, Hepburn, Martensville, Rosthern, Warman, Waldheim, Watrous, and Vonda.
Last year, our Co-operative contributed over $1.1 million in sponsorships and donations of all sizes. These funds help strengthen local organizations, support essential services, and enhance community well-being.
And in 2025, we're proud to have continued that support:
• Major sponsorships for the incredible programs of non-profits and community organizations, including Crocus Co-operative, Canadian Mental Health Association, Canadian Red Cross, Central Urban Métis Federation Inc. (CUMFI), Saskatoon Community Clinic, Saskatoon Friendship Inn, Saskatoon Indian and Metis Friendship Centre, and the Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation, among others.
• We have donated to more than 200 community groups throughout the year, spanning a wide range of needs that include sports complex upgrades and Zamboni propane sponsorships, 4-H Clubs, Pow Wows, Fire and Rescue organizations, Christmas Hamper programs, and nutrition programs for families and youth.
• Our Gift Card Fundraising Program has helped support community groups and sports clubs, with over $155,000 donated to 160 fundraising groups.
