• To provide expertise, advice and counsel to Co-op managers and supervisors to help them excel in areas such as: succession planning, talent acquisition and onboarding, employee engagement, employee development, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and policy interpretation
• To assist with the industrial relations requirements of the Co-operative, including conducting workplace investigations, determining and issuing discipline, resolving grievances, collective agreement interpretation, and representing the Co-operative at labour-management meetings
• To be responsible for advertising and sourcing qualified candidates for both management and in-scope positions
• Assist with human resources policy development and implementation
• Assist with the implementation of talent management programs
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with union representatives
• Advise and administer on pension and benefits, leaves of absence, WCB and LTD claims, salary adjustments, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

• Undergraduate degree or diploma majoring in Human Resources
• Three to five years of relevant HR generalist experience in a unionized setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• CPHR designation is an asset
