Description:

Responsibilities:

• To follow the Recruitment policy, hiring for both management and in-scope employees
• To be responsible for advertising and sourcing qualified candidates for both management and in-scope positions
• Assist with recruiting requirements by communicating with managers to discuss business needs
• To be responsible for managing on-boarding programs by performing new employee orientations and monitor existing training programs
• Designing and implementing enhancements to talent acquisition processes
• To provide expertise, advice and counsel to Co-op managers and supervisors to help them excel in areas such as: succession planning, talent acquisition and onboarding, employee engagement, employee development, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and policy interpretation
• Assist with human resources policy development and implementation
• Assist with the implementation of talent management programs
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with union representatives
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree or diploma majoring in Human Resources
• One to three years experience as a recruiter including hiring, training and on-boarding
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• CPHR designation is an asset
